Fixing one phpBB board, then building another with custom features

Four contracts with one client in 2014: fixing an existing board, then building a new forum and adding functionality phpBB doesn't ship with.

The objective

The client started with an existing phpBB forum that had a handful of problems and needed some plugins installed. Once that was sorted they wanted a new forum built, with functionality added that the standard software doesn't provide.

What I did

I worked through the problems on the existing board and installed the plugins they wanted.

I rewrote the .htaccess rules for the URL handling they needed.

I built the new forum and set it up to their structure.

Then I developed the extra functionality on top of phpBB, which was the largest of the four contracts.

The result

Four contracts completed for the same client in one year, ending with a working forum that had features the standard software doesn't include.
