Case studies
Each one is a full write-up of what the client needed, what I did and how it turned out. These are selected projects, not a complete list. Repeat work of the same kind is written up once rather than every time.
A forum that kept getting buried in spam
A Swedish learning community board across four years: an upgrade that turned out to be what the login failure needed, repeated spam waves, and a security option in the hosting panel that took the whole forum down.
Twenty-eight orders for one client over five years
A client who started with single-site transfers and ended up planning their own cloud server, then turned the order for it into site work when they changed direction partway through.
Uploads failing on a server where the limits were already high
A client couldn't install a theme or import demo content on their own VPS. The obvious explanation was the upload limits, except the upload limits were already set high enough.
Moving a personal site and installing a self-hosted CRM
I moved the client's site onto a subdomain and installed a self-hosted CRM beside it. Two catches: the certificate they'd bought only covered the main domain, and the newer CRM release wanted a PHP version their host didn't offer.
Getting a renewed certificate onto ten sites at once
A client ran ten sites out of one hosting account, renewed their certificate, and needed it installed on every one of them. That sat on top of two years of smaller fixes across the same sites.
