Rebuilding a phpBB 2 forum from its files
A client had the files of an old phpBB 2 forum and no working installation. The job was either to get the forum back on a current version, or to get the data out of it.
A forum put behind a sales page and a paid login
Visitors who weren't members had to see a sales page instead of the forum, with a login and a purchase page, and the client's own staff had to be able to edit that page.
Permissions and board structure for a vehicle community
A half-set-up forum where members couldn't post because permissions had never been configured, and where the board structure had to mirror how the community actually talks about the subject.

Moving a WordPress site out of the hosting root
A WordPress install sitting in the account root was hijacking every other domain on the hosting account. I moved it into a subdirectory without breaking it.
A forum updated after a denial of service attack
A technical community board had been knocked over repeatedly and the owner had put it behind a CDN himself. It was still on an old version, which is the likely way in.
