Each one is a full write-up of what the client needed, what I did and how it turned out. These are selected projects, not a complete list. Repeat work of the same kind is written up once rather than every time.
Moving a WordPress site out of the hosting root
A WordPress install sitting in the account root was hijacking every other domain on the hosting account. I moved it into a subdirectory without breaking it.
Thirteen copies of one PHP application onto new hosts and subdomains
A client running a set of regional listing sites needed the same PHP backend and its database copied onto new hosting accounts and new subdomains, thirteen times in six months, with the source left untouched every time.
Directory pages for a sports ranking site
A ranking site listed teams by position, which works for 75 teams and falls apart for over a thousand. I added alphabetical directory pages for each category.
Editing live review sites reachable only through a VPN
Two Spanish-language review sites you couldn't even reach from a normal connection, edited while they were live and earning. At the client's request I hid the markup I removed rather than deleting it.
A forum updated after a denial of service attack
A technical community board had been knocked over repeatedly and the owner had put it behind a CDN himself. It was still on an old version, which is the likely way in.
A forum that kept getting buried in spam
A Swedish learning community board across four years: an upgrade that turned out to be what the login failure needed, repeated spam waves, and a security option in the hosting panel that took the whole forum down.
